Will.I.Am to premiere new single from MARS!

Will.I.Am is gearing up to premiere his new single Reach For The Stars on Mars today (Tuesday, 28th August).
Back in June, it was reported that the Black Eyed Peas star had penned a song for NASA, telling Graham Norton: "There is a rocket going to Mars, it lands in August and when in lands it will send back a signal to earth and that signal will be the song."

He explained: "This project with Nasa is to help inspire kids to get involved in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. My mission is to inspire the youth to care about education."

Now, The Sun reports that Will's track will be played through the speakers of the Curiosity robot rover, which landed on Mars earlier this month.

The Voice coach attended the initial landing of the rover, joining NASA employees at Cape Canaveral, Florida. He tweeted: "We did it!!! We landed on mars... we did humans... humans landed curiosity on mars."

It is thought the song will get its first play today when NASA officials host a special listening evening for students at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

Will posted on Twitter: "#blessed I will be apart of first song ever to be sent from another planet...mars to earth tomorrow."

NASA will also apparently announce a new partnership with charity i.am.angel - which was founded by Will - and hopes to fund education and learning opportunities amongst young people in need.

In other Will.I.Am news, Britney Spears has confirmed she will feature on the rapper's new single Sexy Sexy, telling fans on Twitter: "Can't wait for y'all to hear @iamwill's next single featuring me. Coming very soon. Stay tuned people...."

Spears added: "Just left the studio w/ @iamwill working #willpower. Look out 4 #reachforthestars beamed 2 earth from mars tmrw via my friend @MarsCuriosity."

THIS IS FUCKING AMAZINGLY EPIC! SPECTACULAR! THIS IS WILL POWER!
